07 season news:
Well here we are waiting for it to rain
again. The 07 season seemed to get off to a good start with
average rainfalls (at least for the Adelaide Hills anyway)
but at the beginning of Sept. we seem to be in the same
dry basket as the rest of the country. Good deep subsoil
moisture plays a big part in fruit quality and bit more
rain between now and November will help us sleep.
Farmers always whinge about the weather, and we said much
the same thing last year, however although the quantity
was down our fruit when crushed has rewarded us handsomely
with an intenseness that will perhaps rank 07 as a classic
year. Keep your eye on the bouncing bottle!

The Great Edinburgh Shiraz Challenge
for 2007 was a huge day. Over 700 attendees tasting a record
number of Shiraz only wines around 280 wines from all over
the country.
This event is capped off with a mixed dozen of the top 12
wines as voted by the educated 700 on the day and if you
